     Alltech (760-724-2404; http://allelec.com ) probably still sells the ROM
part of the ROM-01 upgrade. (It does not seem to be listed on their web page at
present; but, then, a lot of stuff they sell does not seem to be there, yet.)

     The ROM upgrade is simple-- you, swap in the new ROM.

     The original upgrade (as done by Apple) also included a Video Controller
IC swap in. This fixed some relatively minor display imperfection which might
not even be detectable on a particular GS. In any case, it is not required to
run modern software.
