Re: anyone remember the SwyftCard?



The swyft card was kind of like a IIgs's NDAs, or a Mac's NDA's.  You
can run the programs on the Swyft card, and then switch back to the IIe
program.  There was something similar to the clipboard, simple word
processor, a calculator, and maybe other things.  Its purpose was to let
you use handy programs (like a calculator) while you are running another
program.  I think you activated the card by issuing a PR#X command,
where X is the slot the Swyft card is in.  It would give you a menu you
could navigate with the arrow keys, and choose which function you wanted
to use.  The card obviously had on-board RAM.  It may have had a
processor too.  I read about the Swyft card in Nibble magazine, and it
looks like a neat card.
