How do I identify my Apple IIc?

Someone once posted a command to identify what type of IIc you had, be it a
255, a 0, 1,2 or 3, I think.

What is that command?  I think it was a CALL command of some kind, as I
recall.  I think I've got a 255, but I just want to be sure.

As well, when I do the Control+Shift+OpenApple+ClosedApple+Reset combo (I
think this is the key combo for a self-test or something), all I get are a
screenful of short vertical lines that shift around and stuff, but it never
says "Kernel Ok", like the Apple IIe I have does.  It just shifts those
lines around forever.  Does it ever end?  What does it mean?
