I don't know if any of you remember, but a while back I killed my
Carte Blanche board by installing new firmware.
Well it's been a while, but I know have a genuine XILINX Parallel III
JTAG cable. Today I hooked it all up to the CB card. The only
difference in the labeling is that one of the wires on the cable is
labeled VCC and the CB has 3V3, I'm not sure if this is important at
all. I've connected all the wires to the 'hard' connectors.
Following the instructions on the CB page (http://www.applelogic.org/
ProgrammingCBsFlash.html) and using iMPACT software, I can go through
all the steps, but the last step where 'program' is selected fails!
Looking at the console log I can see the following:
PROGRESS_START - Starting Operation.
INFO:iMPACT:583 - '1': The idcode read from the device does not match
the idcode in the bsdl File.
INFO:iMPACT:1578 - '1': Device IDCODE :
00000000000000000000000000000000
INFO:iMPACT:1579 - '1': Expected IDCODE:
00000001110000011010000010010011
PROGRESS_END - End Operation.
Elapsed time = 0 sec.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Phil
