Has anyone else  out there purchased a Second Sight card recently?

The reason I'm asking is because I have been attempting to get one for a while
now, and Sequential has made me VERY UNHAPPY.

I called them up about 6 months ago to see if the card was still available.  
"Sure!" they said and so I told them I had a ROM 03 IIgs and sent off a check
for $179 us.

About a month later, I called them to inquire about the card, since it hadn't
yet arrived, and I was told that the card would show sometime around Christmas
(1998!!).   So I waited, being understanding that the company was struggling to
make a business from Apple // stuff, and that their main focus was SeqNet,
their ISP.

I'm not sure when I actually recieved my card, but it was some time after
Christmas.  I followed all the instructions and booted up my IIgs.   The
machine beeped and displayed trash on the VGA screen.  On and off again, and
the same problem occurs.   check the install, check the manual, try again, no
go.

So i call sequential.  Their tech support guy is in about an hour a week, and
its the hour I spend in transit.   So I give them my number and the secratary
says she'll pass on the message.

Two weeks later, no call.  I call up after discovering that there is some
corrosion on the cards  contacts.   She issues an RMA and I send the card back.

Sine then, I've called and eMailed them a few times trying to find out about
the card.  No one over there has any clue whats wrong, their tech is never in,
and he never returns my calls.

All this time, all I have for it is a IIgs without a monitor (my Apple Monitor
died) and a cashed check.  Even after taking my money, hassling me and not even
having the courtesy to call me and leave a message, after not even having the
courtesy to reply to an eMail, I am $180 poorer with nothing to show for it.

To add insult to injury, a check of their website reveals that the Second Sight
is now priced at $149. 

Now, I'm a reasonable guy.   Yes, I understand that there is no money in
hardware development or sale in our ever diminising Apple // world.  I
understand that a company might want to wait a few months, let the orders pile
up a bit to make it worthwhile to fabricate said hardware.  However, I believe
that I could, in the very least, be informed of the state of my issues with a
phone call.  Sequential has 3 different numbers for me, all of which have
voicemail.  If they can't afford the long distance call, they could eMail me
virtually for free.
