Umm, isn't the rainbow logo *the* Apple II logo?
After a certain point, which was comparatively early on. I seem to recall it changed to some extent in the Mac era. 

The computers used to come with stickers.  I can almost picture finding
an iron on transfer with the Apple logo in with the stickers, but I can't remember whether that really happened or not.
