A worthless Apple IIc made worthwhile...

Just today I picked up an old, sun-yellowed Apple IIc for $5 that looked
like the space bar had been badly damaged, since it was crunched down on
the left side and stuck. After taking the case off (how, I'm not sure, but
it finally came off), I fiddled with the space bar and found out that the
metal strut was stuck under the retaining pin and not the other way around,
as it should have been. I finally corrected that and it seems as though
the space bar now functions properly.

Ok, so now, other than the fact that this IIc looks aged by the sun beyond
belief and there's a heavy smell of smoke on it (and a noticable taint of
ashes and other contaminents gunking up the keyboard and everywhere else in
the system, floppy drive, etc.), I've no way of powering up this puppy! I
need a power brick! However, since I suspect that IIc power supplies are
either in short supply and high demand (thus making them expensive, new or
used) or simply hard to find, I'm hoping someone has suggestion(s) to an
alternative to the genuine article, thus hopefully making it possible to
test out the operability of this IIc without draining my pocket of the few
meager dollars I have.

Oh, one other thing... a lot of the keys on the IIc are "sticky-stiff".
They're hard to press and the make a hard click when I do. Is there a
safe, reliable way to clean/fix them or are they permanently that way? I
was actually wondering if a good washing wouldn't flush the gunk out and
then just let the keyboard dry a few days til the water evaporates so the
keyboard works again. Of course, that means taking the case off again,
too... (ugh!)

By the way, does anyone know what all the chips inside the IIc are and do?
I'd like to have them listed, just so I know...
