The Quest: Revisited...

Is anyone here familiar with Penguin Software's "The Quest"? I fell in love
with it way back when I owned an Apple IIc from '85-'86. I fell in love
with it all over again just recently using AppleWin for my PC.

But enough remembering how it was in the past... it's time to bring it up to
the present! Yes, I have gotten permission from the appropriate sources to
do a remake of The Quest. I plan to have a Win95 and (possibly) a BeOS
version.

Inprovements include:

Character voices, MIDI music, sound effects, narration, and improved
graphics.

But I'm gonna need help... depending upon how much better this game is to
be, I'm gonna need voices for characters, sound effects, perhaps some MIDI
musicians (unless I do all the music myself), programmers, and artists.

Of course, everyone involved must have a good familiarity with The Quest
(having played it recently on either a genuine Apple II or an emulator) and
desire to see this game made alive again and better than ever.

There's one catch however... we all get paid when the game sells either
directly or to a publisher (I'm hoping MagicTree can do it, since MT is
what's left of the original Penguin Software/PolarWare and seems a fitting
tribute to the company that originally published it).

And RingQuest (the sequel) *may* be next!
