The inverse of fancy; the card is a SASI subset of SCSI.  Word has it
one can burn a SCSI-based EPROM for the card but that's it...

If you're serious about using the tape drive on the //e, get a real
SCSI card, like an Apple High Speed or a Sequential RamFast.
