Try booting without the controller card (this time, don't forget to
switch off the system before unplugging the board...).

If it works, then something on the drive controller board is out (very
probably not on the disk drive itself)

If it doesn't work, then you've blown something on the main board. I
will bet for some bus drivers ICs (74LS245 or similar).
