If you have an SCSI card for the Apple II and the newer Zip drive
on the PC, you can use zip disks to do the transfer. The IIGS can
read and write MS-DOS FAT format Zip disks.

Other options are SuperDrive card and SuperDrive for the IIGS
or BlueDisk from ///SHH Systeme (can be found via web search)
and a regular PC 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive. With either drive and
controller, the IIGS can write MS-DOS FAT floppies.

Connecting the two computers with serial cable is also an option.

The main problem with these approaches is the loss of formatting.
There are programs on the IIGS that will let you load AppleWorks
with formatting and save in RTF format, which most Windows
programs can read. But if you don't have such a program (like
EGOed), you'd need to find someone who does to do the converting
for you. In that case, might as well find someone with CrossWorks.
I bet there are more people with EGOed that with CrossWorks,
though.
