Re: Apple Lisa Office System, Help!

It is most likely booting off a Sun SCSI card onto a SCSI HD if you have a
Sun'ed Lisa...Which makes it unlikely that you will be able to do much
other than MacWorks...Also, as it was pointed out, you probably have the
sun video modification as well. I guess a 20Mb parallel HD is feasible,
however you would need to reformat it using...um, I can't remember the
name of the app right now. I think it is possible using the boot/install
disk though.
Also, you may have problems with the 800k floppy if you have it as well.
There is a way to unserialize the LisaOS disks, and if you haven't
discovered it yet, email me and I'll gladly tell you. LOS will not install
onto floppes though. Besides, it wouldn't be terribly useful since you
only have one drive and LOS spans a couple.

sigh. why is it that everyone but me can find a Lisa. I can occasionally
find someone willing to part with their lisa stuff, but they either
suddenly decide that they want lots of money for their 'rare collectible'
and then go sell it on eBay when I decline, or they just utterly disappear
without a trace one day, never to be heard from again. And I have yet to
even see a lisa for sale in real life. Anyone with a Lisa 2 that's not
mangled into a Hackintosh, I'd love to hear from if you've got it up for
the giving. It's hard trying to bring life to an emulator when you don't
even have a real example right in front of you to model on.
