Getting Appletalk going on GS

Thanks to all who helped me with my memory board. I got
that going after difficulty with seating the chips.

Now...

Is there a trick to getting Appletalk going on a GS?
I installed AppleShare and have Appletalk drivers in
the Drivers folder of the System folder. On booting,
I get a message that Appletalk is not installed and
that I should turn in on in the Control Panel. I don't
have an Appletalk control panel. Is it the slot 7
designation in the Slots Manager that is being referred
to? Appletalk is grayed out as an option there. Is there
an installation separate from the AppleShare installation
that I should have run?
