For older applications, I would agree, but if you do this with newer
applications, you will lose your rIcons.

For example, Out of This World for the IIGS uses rIcons which are
in the program's rBundle.  This rBundle must be copied to the
Desktop file, otherwise no icon for Out of This World.

Most new software use rIcons, I think.
