Lost Treasures and other projects?

Hi,

     Just out of sheer curiosity:  What ever happened to these projects?
It was a great idea at the time to reclass commericial software into
freeware/shareware.  But I remember that the projects barely touched the
surface of the thousands of A2 programs that were available over the past
20+ years.
