Newbie image question

Can anyone tell me if there is a disk image utility for the PC to enable me to
manipulate and extract files from a .HDV image and save them onto .DSK images?

My problem is that I have a copy of the Kyan Pascal .HDV image which I can't
seem to use with the Windows-based Apple IIe emulator. I'd like to extract the
files and save them into floppy disk images to use with this emulator.

I;ve also tried using the hard drive image with the ApplePC Apple emulator but
simply get a message saying 'check your drive' (in IIc mode). In IIe and II+
modes the drive is ignored.

BTW, forgive my ignorance of all this. I've never owned an Apply 8-bit machine
and so it's all new to me!
