You can download the disks from various locations, but that leaves you stuck
unless you have some way of moving the files from the computer you used for
the download to your Apple II. If you have a Macintosh for the download and
an Apple II with a 3.5" disk, it's manageable. If you don't, moving the
files to the Apple II and putting them on a disk takes a fair amount of
knowledge about communications programs.
A local users group or a very old and very friendly computer store may be
able to help. Most are authorized to make copies of the Apple II system
software, and the ones that aren't will probably do it anyway.
There is one commercial source still available, too. For a few dollars you
can get Apple-authorized copies of any of the operating systems on Apple II
disks. At the very least, it will save you a lot of trouble with downloads
