The Zip Chip pins are also thicker than those on a standard 40 pin DIP.
I did not want to damage my motherboard (//e) socket when I installed my
Zip so I plugged the Zip in a socket and then plugged that socket into
the motherboard. I had no problems with this (although such a combination
might not fit inside a //c).
