As a general rule, Apple product numbers which start with M are intended
for use with a Macintosh.

In this case, the mouse you describe will work with the original (128K)
Macintosh, and the Macintosh 512K, 512KE and Plus.

Later Mac models (SE and II right up to the Power Macintosh G3) uses an
Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) mouse.  The very latest Macs (iMac and Blue &
White G3) use a Universal Serial Bus (USB) mouse.  The Blue & White G3
can also use an ADB mouse.


In theory, the M0100 mouse should also work on an Apple Lisa or Apple
IIc, or an Apple II+, IIe or IIgs which has an Apple II mouse card
installed.  This is less certain, as I've heard rumours of problems with
using some Mac mice with the Apple II.
