I'm trying to think of some of the people who had booths there...
Burger Bill - Went on to start LogicWare, a Mac game company. He sold the
rights to the Focus Hard Drive to Alltech.
Bill St Pierre - Finally gave up on the TurboRez maybe 2 years ago, and no
longer has an Apple IIGS computer. All his work was saved, however, the
TurboRez used one proprietary chip and so I wouldn't hold my breath
waiting for someone else to release it. As it is, there are no more than
3 or 4 people who do have a working TurboRez prototype.
inCider/A+ - Cameron Crotty and Dan Muse both moved to the San Francisco area
soon after, and went to work for MacWorld. Cameron may still be there;
Dan now edits (I think the name is) Family PC.
Quality Computers - Got bought by Scantron, and slowly stopped supporting the
Apple II.
Paul Parkhurst - Now programs in Visual Basic for the PC.
I don't know that I've ever really told anyone before, but at the time
of Apple Expo West, I was still working for inCider/A+. I found out that
weekend that inCider/A+ had been purchased, and so it was at Apple Expo
West that Shareware Solutions II was born.
Maybe your photos will awaken some other memories?
Oh, BTW, Ian did show up here maybe a year ago to announce that AudioZap 2.0
was being released as freeware.
