Hi, you must have not heard yet. The information in Nathan's
accelerator FAQ is outdated. Ever since Western Design
Center came out with the improved 14Mhz 65C816 chip design,
replacement GAL chipsets are no longer needed.

The GALs were designed as traps for certain 65C816
instructions that would fail at high speeds, slowing down the
CPU when those instructions were executed. However, the
new 65C816 design no longer fails when those instructions
are executed at high speeds. Thus, it is now actually
detrimental in terms of performance to get the replacement
GALs! One of the GALs also traps a bug in the old 65C816
which, when run at even normal TWGS speeds, caused
conflicts with the RamFAST card. But this GAL is ALSO no
longer needed...if you have the 14Mhz 65C816 installed,
the card will work with the RamFAST with the original GAL
chips.
