Thanks to everyone for all of the help with the monitor problem.

I have been able to confirm that the problem that I am experiencing is do to
a problem the HV module.  Although not completly blown, it is degraded
enough that it will not produce enough juice to fire, only produce a slight
glow in the tube.  Any one know where I could pick one up cheap?  Otherwise,
she is going on the parts shelf for future use.
