The biggest problem is many, infact most Mac users don't even know the
difference since they cam up when the Mac was the only Apple, and with
Apple making machines like the MacCIII and other names like that people
will continue to think that. I know some people who are very computer
literate, but have no idea what an Apple II is. Now with Apple renaming
ClarisWorks, AppleWorks the problem will even get worse. I had a friend
come by and saw my AppleWorks program and want a copy of if for his new G3
Mac, first I told him I don't give copies of software out; I have to deal
with people using mine without paying for it; and second I told hime that
just becasue it says Apple does not mean it will work on his make and
showed him my Apple II running my BBS and told him that was not a Mac and
his desktop was on the Apple IIgs long before Apple even had their first
crude Macs out.
