Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just take a normal Mac - Modem
cable (local computer store, $5) and plug the mini-din into the Imagewriter and
the other end into a gender-bender (local computer store, $3) and into a PC
serial port? You MIGHT need a null modem, but probably not, since the printer
is a "device", not another terminal.
Don't quote me on this, I haven't tried it. But I have used a Mac - Modem
cable, a null modem, and a gender bender to connect an Apple IIgs to a Linux
box. So if the pinout on the Imagewriter matches the GS and Mac, it should
work.
