I guess it is like Job's obsession with building the original Macs
without a fan. Interesting note: the iMac comes with a place on the
motherbd to install a floppy drive connector. For the price of a
connector and ribbon cable they could have added the ability to connect
an external floppy. You can solder in the connector yourself, plug in a
ribbon cable and run it out the side to connect a standard Mac floppy!

I really wonder, when they include ethernet as standard, but not a
floppy. Most home users will have a lot more use for a floppy than
ethernet.
