The AppleWorks 4.x and 5.x database format isn't supported by any other
program, though it has been documented so in theory it could be
supported.
The easiest solution is to export the data from AppleWorks in a format
that can be dealt with by another program. This will retain all the
data, but lose reports, formatting, file references, calculations, etc.
You can export data from the AppleWorks Database by printing the
database to a "Text (ASCII) File on Disk". There are three sub-options:
pick the "Tab and Return" delimited variant.
The resulting file then needs to be copied over to a Mac, and can be
imported directly into a database program such as FileMaker Pro or the
ClarisWorks/AppleWorks database module.
