Just as an aside, if any of you have heard of the IDSA (Interactive
Digital Software Association, I believe, is the name in full), they are an
organization which goes around basically policing the internet for
software and other files which may be infringing on the rights of their
'members'. The IDSA does not really impact the Apple II field in much way,
since hardly anything from the Apple II is still owned by members of the
IDSA (there are a few exceptions though, I think)
Anyway, the gist of this is that, on many occasions, they have stated that
the time it takes for a copyright on software, games, and other
entertainment stuff is 75 years. One hopes it is not, that seems slightly
unreasonable, but then again, it could be. They may know what they are
talking about it since they make a business of it. But then again, even
so, this is constrained to things within the US, as far as I know.
