taking out the Vulcan

I'm trying to remove my 40 meg Vulcan drive from my IIGS and replace the
power supply with a Buggie. I have a Zip Card, RamFast SCSI and Sirius
8meg. So far no luck. Is there a setting somewhere that has to be
changed to make the system work without the Vulcan? There are dip
switches on the Zip Card.
