Re: PFS--->iMac or ibm or mac
You were misinformed. I move 800K disk between my MAC and my GS all the
time. However, if you are using file sharing on the Mac, it will tell you
that you can not use ProDos disks while file sharing is on.
If you put an 3.5" 2DD disk in the MAC and choose to Erase Disk under the
Special Menu, it should allow you to format it as either a Macintosh 800K,
DOS 720K, or a ProDOS 800K. If you put a 3.5" HD disk in the MAC it will
let you format it as a Macintosh 1.4 MB, DOS 1.4 MB, or a ProDOS 1.4 MB.
(Yes, I know it is 1.44 MB, but that is what it says on the screen).
I am using MacOS 8.0, and the iMac, depending on when you bought it should
have come with 8.1 or 8.5, so I would assume that it would work.
