UPS is the one carrier I refuse to accept when shipping items from the US 
to Canada.  Not only do they *not* get things across the border "without 
racking up duties," but they tack on an exhorbitant customs brokerage fee 
even if the goods are not subject to duty.  I'd rather rely on the post 
office(s)...
