enhanced apple IIe and appletalk

  I  know a teacher that would like to network about 10 Apple IIe's, and I
have no idea where to start. Someone told me they had to be an enhanced IIe.
 How do I know if they are enhanced, and then what?  She will most likely
use a Mac IIci as a file server. 

Any help would be great.
