Seeking info: mag article on A2 Advantages

         INFORMATION SOUGHT: "SUPERIORITY OF A2" FOR MAGAZINE ARTICLE
         ============================================================

	This is a project on which I've made two false starts, but I want
to carry it through now.

	We have a statewide monthly computer magazine - Computer Scene,
which is distrubuted free, loaded with IBM-klone ads.  I want to submit an 
article, tentatively to be entitled, "APPLE II RENAISSANCE."  The article
will survey the various advantages of A2 in the present world of klone
domination.

These points will be made in favor of the A2:
--------------------------------------------
freedom from computer viruses
total privacy of disk files
privacy of hard drive (at my college, the computer gestapo "inspect" 
	faculty hard drives)
declining cost of hardware
open architecture/ socketed components; that encourage hardware hacking
supportive group of experts on this and other A2 networks
freedom from hardware theft
A2 can perform basic functions that fill 90% of all computing activity
freedom from hardcore visual pornography from web
expression of our individuality


WHAT ELSE?  I'll post the draft copy of the article to this group for
comments in February.  Because of the magazine's format, I'll not be able
to acknowleedge others' ideas, but I'd try to mail paper copies of the
article to idea contributors.  The tone of the article would need to be
positive and non-threatening to their IBM-klone advertizers....

P.S.  I'll probably _not_ mention that hardware sturdiness made the Apple
II the most popular computer in mental hospitals of the 1980's ---- that
