If I remember properly (having had one of these cards like 10 years ago or
something...) the 'colorswitch' is a passthrough device that allows the
Transporter to use your apple monitor for output.  The idea is similar to
modern 3D graphics cards.  You plug your apple 2 video output to the
colorswitch and then the monitor into the colorswitch output.
