I am not sure if there is new composite monochrome monitors available, but
I know (because i use this setup myself) that many modern TV sets have
SCART connectors or "video in" connectors, that have composite video pins
(marked A/V in the manual) that can accept the output from the standard
II+ / IIe composite video jack, and get you nice readable display in
color, or crisp sharp display in black/white if you turn off the color
encoding usingh the switch on your motherboard. I am not sure if trhis
switch is available on all models, i only have a PAL IIe / european .
