I think you are a few years too late.

Back in 1996, Sun Remarketing was still selling brand new IIe
and ROM 3 IIGS units.  New in the box.

But I think they are out of the new units and now only have
refurbs.

It would be great to get a new in the box unit and keep it in
the box and who knows, maybe someday it would be worth
something.

I've often had strange urges to keep a new car hidden and
covered in a garage and then when it becomes outdated,
say 10 years down the road, take it out for a spin.  ;-)
