Hi. I have read that the fading is an actual chemical change in the plastic
and that it is not something that you can just wash off. As best I
remember, this was in a Star Wars vintage toys newsgroup concerning plastic
ships. I think the same would apply to Apple's. We all know what sun faded
II's look like. If you think about what made it change color, then you may
see how it can not be just washed away.
