Re: Serious Pascal help needed
Here's an update on the Pascal question, for anyone who is following this
thread and asked to keep informed.
Thanks to Adrian for sending the Pascal date format, which is the same as
ProDos, but flipped. From that information I determined that in Quicken, the
year 1968 is a $40 and the year 1999 is an $FE. Each year skips a value (or
uses two), so the "32" theory advanced by Rubywand ( the same theory was also
expressed earlier by Jason Harper) seems to be valid, except that it is
actually 64 bytes instead of 32. (Unless I am proven wrong, which could happen,
who knows).
Yes, we know we are probably dealing with P-Code in text files, and Yes, we
could use a P-Code disassembler if you have one that is ready to run on an
Apple IIe or IIGS. Please do not send it to me, but please tell me how you can
get it to us, or where we can download it.
Right now the programmers and the Quicken owners are spread out all over the
place, but the central area seems to be on CompuServe, where most of us hang
out. If you have an account on Compuserve you can read about it on GO APPUSER.
We've been discussing Quicken for about 2-3 months.
Thanks for all the help.
