Re: Use a NES Joypad on a IIgs!
Hmm... I tried to do a conversion of a regular Gravis PC Gamepad, just
hand-rolling a DB-9 to DB-15 adaptor. When I booted with the gamepad attached
to my GS, the computer would enter into a self-test, flashing graphics
patterns, then a sound test, and finally reporting "System Okay" before
restarting the test. If I booted without the gamepad attached, connected it,
and used it in an application, the responsiveness was slow, but fully
functional. My generic 6-button (A, B, X, Y, and autofire A and B) Wal-Mart PC
gamepad wouldn't produce the self-test, but the responsiveness was still
sluggish.
Anyone have insight as to the problem?
