Sounds like you're talking the workstation card. It did localtalk and
was only intended for the //e. It'd be superfluous in a IIgs since it
has built in localtalk.

No dice on the card in an unenhanced //e. Apple made the enhancement a
requirement with later cards, e.g. HS SCSI, VOC, workstation card. And I 
doubt that anyone will ever try to implement TCP on a //e, much less under 
DOS.
