Back when I had a CD150 connected to my Quadra 700, it could play quicktimes
smoothly and without sync problems. Single speed isn't as slow as you all
let on.

CD-RW only differs from plain CD-R in that you can erase the discs and reuse
'em. There is nothing different in the way you write to 'em. You get one
shot and if you flub it up, you have to erase the disc and try again. That's
important if you have one good session on the disc and try another session
and it bombs. So the answer is they work nothing like hard disks.

Well I believe that you vote with your wallet, and there are companies
which I avoid. M$/Intel for obvious reasons, Circuit City because they
invented DIVX, and plenty more.

I'd advise using Motorola chips myself
