Disk ][ cards

There was at (3) versions of the Disk][ controller card:
1) Included 13-sector (DOS 3.0 - 3.21) state machine and PROM (can not
   read 16-sector diskettes).  Has 2-20 pin dual row headers so that 2
   Disk ][ drives could be attached.
2) Included 16-sector (DOS 3.3, USCD P-System) state machine and PROM
   (cannot boot a 13-sector disk directly, but can read 13-sector
   diskettes, via software).  Has 2-20 pin dual row headers so that 2
   Disk ][ drives could be attached.
3) Included 16-sector (DOS 3.3, USCD P-System) state machine and PROM
   (cannot boot a 13-sector disk directly, but can read 13-sector
   diskettes, via software).  Has 1-DB19 female connector to which up
   to 2 drives (typically, UniDisks) can be attached.  The dual 2-pin
   dual row haders were dropped in order to provide better RFI
   shielding of the disk drive signals (per FCC requirements).

I don't know what the exact Apple part #'s of the various controller 
card PCB's were.  [I have a couple '650-X104-' boards (dual row 
geaders] and a '655-0101-' board (DB19).]

Note: A "#1" controller could be upgrade to a "#2" controller just by
replacing the PROM and state machine chips (P5 and P6).  If the chips 
show "P5A", "P5-A", "P6A", or "P6-A", then the controller is a 
16-sector controller.
