I agree. This is especially sad because there are many
(thanks to Apple) underequipped Apple IIGS units out
there. Underequipped in that they shipped with 256k
of memory while the IIGS operating system's is really
needing 4MB or more to run all of the modern programs.
Rather than use them as fancy Apple IIe's with text
interfaces, GEOS would be a natural OS for it. Even
those underequipped IIGS units always had mice.
More importantly, even a stock IIGS is 3x faster than
a IIe or C64/128. In my opinion, the IIGS was the only
STOCK computer with enough horsepower to run
GEOS properly.
