Help on Modem

Hi, Everyone!

O.K. I've got a AE 2400 baud Datalink modem, and guess what,
I've lost the purple manuals that came with it!

What I need to know is what the row of 8 dip switches are
used for (their function) .

If anyone knows this let me know as I am trying to get this modem
to hook up to another one without having a phone line carries. i.e.
direct connection.
