maybe because there are people that are, for whatever reason, denied
access to it?

hmmmm... anyone care to e-mail me a wish-list for one? i'm interested in
writing something in Perl, but i can't make any promises on if/when it'll
be available... time is a valuable commodity for me... (and then, once
it's written, it'll need a place to live; my ISP doesn't have the kind of
service available where i could have something like a CGI script running
at all hours... <shrug>)

sounds like a good reason...

all i look for in an ISP is (1) a way to get at the 'Net to surf, (2) a
way to get to kluge.net to grab my mail, and (3) newsgroups. is that
asking for much?

you're right on here, Beverly. I like it better when people aren't
screaming or looking for ways to throttle others. i know i've done my
share of screaching here in the past, but i think that was mostly
reactionary... <shrug> (sorry about all that....)
