I can't really answer your questions as I'm really just learning how
to use HyperCard IIgs.

However, if you don't get the answers you want here, a great place to
ask is the A2Pro forum on Delphi where we are currently running a
course on HyperCard IIgs.  (Which is how I'm learning HyperCard IIgs
at present.  :)

Just go to:

     http://www.delphi.com/a2pro

and you can get into the message board using one of the links on the
left side of the page.  If you don't already have a Delphi account,
you can sign up for a free account that lets you access Delphi through
the web interface using another one of the links on the left of the
A2Pro page.
