ProTERM 3.1

I have a slight problem with ProTERM 3.1.  I'm using an Apple IIc+ with 
it & I recently bought a used 9600 baud modem.  Eveything works fine at 
9600 baud except I can't copy anything to my ISPs editor for sending e-mail.

OA-D (Send Ascii),  OA-Y (Paste to Modem) or OA-C (Copy to clipboard) 
then OA-V (Copy from clipboard) will not work.  PT3.1 just freezes, 
nothing other than the first or second line gets thru.

Now if I change the baud rate to 2400, ALL of the above commands work !  
But that means I have to leave my connection to my ISP, change the baud 
rate from 9600 to 2400 & then re-connect.  That is a pain in you know 
what !   Anybody have any ideas ??     Thanks.       .......Al
