Do you have the Apple II ProFile controller card?  If not, you won't get
very far with the cable.

The cable is a straight-through 25-way ribbon cable with a male DB-25 at
each end.  Pin 7 is cut out of the plug on each end (to prevent
accidentally plugging a standard serial cable into the ProFile or card).

The ProFile controller provides a bidirectional parallel interface.  No
other card for the Apple II is compatible with this drive.
