Personally, no, but according to Apple's own Technical Reference on the
//c it will accept anything from 9 to 20 volts of DC input. Based on
that, a 12V gel-cell ought to work nicely (but keep in mind that the //c
consumes up to 25 watts). Hope you're able to work things out.
