No, I see your point.  It is just that, as David Empson said,
the picture in the manual shows a 10-wire flat ribbon cable
with a flat connector on one end and a DB-9 connector on
the other.

Also, the picture in the manual shows this type of
flat connector:

Which, for some reason, looks a little different from
the one you have.  Could this be a different version
of the PCT?
