Yes; there was a lot of downloading info and PC--> A2 stuff mixed
in. The main reason for this is copy protection.
A user with piles of old game originals and copy-protected copies
is, in most cases, a long way from getting this stuff to disk image
(.dsk) form on his/her PC due to the need to remove and/or circumvent
copy protection. It is easier to just download (and un-compress using
WinZip) existing .dsk.gz versions of old games.
In some cases, there is no .dsk to download but there will be an
.shk or .sdk (or other kind of file) version of a game, etc.. Once
you've got a NULL modem connection set up, PC--> A2 is no more bother
than A2--> PC; and, the easiest place to handle various downloaded files
and create new disk image files is on the Apple II!
